I hate Real Player! I hate it because of the adware and spyware that gets installed with their free player. For all those who despise Real Player or want the best MediaPlayer, check this out:
There is a program called Real Alternative 1.29 that will replace RealOne or RealPlayer completely and it’s FreeWare.
I have been using Real Alternative for about a year now and I stress that I removed all of RealOne from my computer.
Note: Don’t underestimate this program just because it looks like the anemic Media-Player that came with Windows 95 it has the capabilities to be your universal Media Player; Heck it plays every video and audio format you can think of including DivX.
If you choose to install just Click on “View Menu - Options - Player - Formats Section” to be impressed.

Most of the problems noted about RealAlternative are because the RealOne uninstall left all kinds of trash behind.

Using Windows Program Uninstaller won't do a complete uninstall it leaves Adware and Trash behind.

How do I completely uninstall RealOne Player and RealOne Music from my computer?
This document applies to:
The best way to uninstall RealOne Player and RealOne Music software is to uninstall using the standard Windows uninstall programs that you can access from the Start menu. However, if that does not work, you can use the r1pclean program to remove nearly all RealNetworks products from your computer.

Standard Uninstall
To uninstall RealOne Player using the standard program:
ˇ Click the Start button, point to Programs, point to Real, then RealOne Player, and click Uninstall RealOne Player. Follow any prompts on the screen.

To uninstall the RealOne Music software using the standard program:
ˇ Click the Start button, point to Programs, point to Real, then RealOne Player, and click Uninstall RealOne Music. Follow any prompts on the screen.

About Uninstalling Using - .r1pclean.exe or ( RealOne Unistaller Program.exe )
If you need to completely uninstall and then reinstall RealOne Player to make it work normally again, use the special utility program called .r1pclean.exe to completely remove RealOne Player and other RealNetworks software from your computer. The .r1pclean.exe program deletes nearly all RealNetworks programs, including RealDownload, RealArcade, RealGames, RealSlideshow, RealProducer, RealEncoder, previous versions of RealPlayer, and other RealNetworks programs. It will not remove or disable your My Music folder or RealServer.
Before you run ( .r1pclean )
If you have RealNetworks programs that you want to install again after runnning .r1pclean, make copies of the install files. Copy those install files from your computer to a backup hard drive, CD-ROM, or other backup media. Also write down or print the serial numbers for those programs. To locate the serial number for a purchased RealNetworks program:
1.Start the RealNetworks program.
2. Click the Help menu and choose About.
3. The serial number is listed in the dialog box that appears.

If there is no serial number, you are using a free Basic version or a version that does not use a serial number. Remember that RealOne Player does not have a serial number; it uses your e-mail address to sign in to your account.
Run the .r1pclean.exe uninstall program.
To run the .r1pclean.exe program:
1. Click the Start button, point to Search, and click Find Files or Folders.
2. Type r1pclean.exe in the search box and click Search Now.
3. When Windows locates the file, double-click it. A MS-DOS window appears with a warning.
4. Press the Y key and then press ENTER to uninstall.
5. You will be asked if you want to keep your media database or not; for a complete uninstall press the Y key to keep it. See Deleting the Database below for more information.
6. If RealOne Music software is also installed, you will be asked if you want to leave all the registry keys a$$ociated with RealOne Music and leave the MCS database files. Press the Y key to keep them.

RealOne Player will now uninstall from your computer.

Deleting the Database
The media database keeps track of all your music files and playlists. Deleting it will not delete your music files, but you will have to recreate all your playlists again. You should only delete the database if it is corrupt and the cause of the problem.

I downloaded RealOne Player10 and had endless trouble with it, so I uninstalled it. However, even though I swore to have nothing to do with Real players ever again, I re-installed it (so that I could listen to BBC radio 3 & 2).
GUESS WHAT? I still can't get this Satan's invention to play. My problem now is this. When I went to uninstall I got a message saying

Uninstaller component missing

I navigated to r1pclean.exe and proceeded to uninstall - at least the progress bar indicated that Real was being uninstalled - but, lo and behold, the devil's spawn is still there.

I had Real Alternative installed but since I re-installed Real Player I started getting pop-up like windows regarding Real Alternative. These were such an irritant that I uninstalled Real Alternative.

can anyone help me to uninstall Real?
