I download the patches and stuff everytime i see a new one, but it doesn't seem to help. They need to add a save burn list feature so if it does freeze up it you will not lose all youre songs. I've tryed to burn up to 478 songs several times and it freezes up on me. I get pretty mad because i spent so much time searching around the library. Putting songs in their bands folders and other things then i lose it all.

I have no doubt Atrac3 is better than mp3 .... I can't think of anything worse quality than mp3 ... maybe mp2 ?
Oh, as for the burning the atrac3 files, I have heard that RealPlayer may be able to burn them, but only if you have sonicstage installed ... I'm not sure if it's true ... I've never tried it and I uninstalled RealPlayer long ago because it $ucked sooooo much
Other than that ... there seems to be no other program that can do it, because Sony doesn't feel like making their software compatible and/or bug free

As for the computer, I will build it this summer ... while doing chemistry research. I should have plenty of time, assuming they dont wear me out by making me do the usual meaningless reports. I get 3 MBs / sec too, most of the time ... actually the SBC ISP servers have gotten more reliable lately ... maybe they bought some new ones ... no more downtime
... I must be getting off topic so I'll stop ... either way does realplayer work or was what I said just a myth ... like most of the stuff you find if you search on dogpile ... but google didn't turn up anything so I had to
