Hi All
Just new to the forum and this problem has been bugging me for a week. Nero Showtime 3 won't play wmv. files it says there is an error reading file. It's okay with any other file. Tried the wmv in WMP and it's fine. I've even tried to play a wmv file that a know for a fact played on it before and still no joy. I originally had Nero 6 installed so I unistalled this and dowloaded Nero 7 thinking this might solve the problem. Nope Dowloaded K Lite codec pack as well and it's still doing it. PLEASE HELP! |

why are using it to play WMVs anyway? Could be using older version of Windows Media codecs to play them.
Could look at getting Nero powerpack or doing a complete clean install of nero with latest updates. I think there are Nero Clean Tools as well.

I only found the problem out when I was using Nero Vision and it wasn't displaying the wmv thumbnail like the rest of the files. So I tried to play the file to see what was wrong. Anyway binned Nero 6, downloaded Nero 7 demo and all is fine. Thanks for the info. |
