Hey guys,
I really need some help with a “codec” problem. I trying to watch a movie in Windows Media Player, but I’m only getting audio. The tech support said I needed to download a codec titled: “XVID MPEG-4 (XVID)”.
So I typed “XVID MPEG-4 (XVID) codec vista” (as I am have Windows Vista) and got directed to this site: http://www.free-codecs.com/download/FFDShow.htm to download FFDShow MPEG-4. I was just wondering if this is the right codec for me? Or perhaps other people may have had a bad experience with it.
I’m sorry if this is a ridiculously easy request, but as I said I am completely computer illiterate, so bare with me lol! So yeah, any help would be good!

Yes, FFDshow will work for many variants of MPEG4 (XVID, DIVX etc.) formats.
