Handling Computer Tech Problems
Effective 05/20/05

When you solve your tech software problem, please mark [SOLVED] in the topic title/description so others know that it has been solved..
If don't have permissions to edit your post, use "REPORT" button to notify mods that issue has been solved.

Here is an example:

QUOTE
Computer  freezeup, need help!
[SOLVED]

Why?
It's good practice to do this so that people don't look in your post with the intention of helping you out,
only to find you've solved it already, but have been to lazy to put [SOLVED] in the title to let everyone know. This can waste peoples' time and it's inconsiderate!

Solved own problem
If you solve your own problem before you get a response back from this board, put [SOLVED BY SELF] in the title description. Again it saves time for others.

Show your gratitude
A 'please' and a 'thank you' are greatly appreciated and encouraged whenever anybody helps you out.
Neither the staff or the members get paid to do this, we do it because we believe in what we're doing and enjoy doing it. We also have jobs. wink.gif

Sincerely,
TalkingSoft Staff

Be forewarned. The power of information available at your fingertips can be a blessing or a curse.
New enemies can rise and friends can fall simply with a sequence of key strokes.
