Full Version: Playing a .asf file

I have a digcam and it saves the files as .asf every time I try to run them using windows media player I get an error "An audio codec is needed to play this file" clicking web help I get this message "encountered error message C00D10D1" going on from this it gives me a Sharp G.726 Audio Codec to down load I stillcan not play this file. can any one help me in what to try next ?
btw i have D/L the latest drivers for camera & xp codec pack

The Player is not configured to download codecs automatically. To configure the Player to download codecs automatically, on the Tools menu, click Options, click the Player tab, and then select the Download codecs automatically check box.
Note that you must be logged on as an administrator or a member of the Administrators group to complete this procedure.
