Has apple gone out of our world with the Power Mac G5? This is an outragous computer designed by apple.I'm not going to say much about because i want you to read it with youre own eyes. Click Here to see what may be a revolutionary computer.

Post if you think it's a good computer or not, and whether you think it will be the computer of the century.

I dunno ... the specs look pretty good ... at least on paper (ATI $uck$) ... only not too much has changed since the G4 (yeah the one before the new G5). Let's put it this way, the components inside have improved, but the overall layout is the same as the G4. (Nothing "revolutionary"). Of course it is better than the G4, but only by about say 25% ... rough estimate biggrin.gif

Would I buy it ? No

Why ? Because I don't like Macs, besides the next computer I buy will be one I build ... and it will eat the G5 for breakfast !!! MUHAHAHAHHAAAA rofl.gif rofl.gif rofl.gif

(I don't mean to crush your hopes for the G5, I'm sure it's better than most on the market ... I'm just saying that one can build something better from scratch, and cheaper too) I mean $2000 - $3000 for it is a bit much don't you think ?

I know what you mean. I wouldn't buy it either. I got "Is it a dream come true?" from one of the sites that i found the information. I don't think that it's worth its price tag. ohmy.gif

The G5 PowerPC from Macintoch has been out for almost a year. The specs are real and it is one engineering marvel. The only thing that comes close is AMD Athlon 64/Opteron CPU, but you will need premium hardware to match its performace.

Think of a G5 PowerMAc as a premium computer so expect to pay a premium price!

The Mac is great at number crunching and CPU-intensive stuff like video-editing and graphics so it fills that niche quite nicely. Not to mention OS 10.4 is several years ahead of Windows Xp. Don't be quick to prejudge and form a biased opinion until you get a chance to try one. wink.gif
