search.gif If you know of a good Atrac3 burning programs please.gif post the site where it is found. I need a better program then Sonicstage lame.gif . Sonicstage allways freezes wacko.gif up when burning a large cd. It also has no way of saving the burn list so that if it does freeze up it won't be lost. It will burn when it has a small amount of songs like 134, but when it burns cds with 400+ songs it freezes up. I need a program that will not freeze up and if possible their is a burn list saving feature. If i don't get any post in a couple weeks i'm going to put an article in codecs and tools; to see if i can get any help with Sonicstage. So if you know of any programs please.gif post. Thank You.

Uhhh .... I have never heard of Atrac3 ... but what is the extension on it ? is it .flac, or .ape or .??? ? It would really help if I know what kind of file this is ... if I'm way off track ... sorry I've never heard of Atrac3 ... what is it ? unsure.gif huh.gif mellow.gif

Ah Sony with its proprietary software for MiniDIScs and Disc walkmans. Atrac3 is a pretty unpopular format exclusive to Sony so have little choice, but use SonicStage.

Could try older version or try your luck with another version:

Hey, I have a Sony computer (VAIO), and I have sonicstage too, I never used it, but ... I saw plenty of updates for it on the support site, at least for my computer, maybe one of the patches will help it crash less:

Hope that helps biggrin.gif

lol. rofl.gif Thats pretty funny.

I download the patches and stuff everytime i see a new one, but it doesn't seem to help. They need to add a save burn list feature so if it does freeze up it you will not lose all youre songs. I've tryed to burn up to 478 songs several times and it freezes up on me. I get pretty mad because i spent so much time searching around the library. Putting songs in their bands folders and other things then i lose it all. nuke.gifI like Atrac3 though. It's a good quality format. I personally think it sounds much better than mp3.You should burn a Atrac3 cd. You'll have to buy a sony cd player that supports Atrac3, but they are not much. peace.gif

Im afraid you will have to stay with sonic stage because i really doubt there is another atra3 burning tool

I have no doubt Atrac3 is better than mp3 .... I can't think of anything worse quality than mp3 ... maybe mp2 ? biggrin.gif As for burning an Atrac3 CD, I don't have that many songs ... in fact I was gonna ask about that ... you have 400+ songs to burn ??? ohmy.gif , I have maybe 100 songs tops, and only about 30 that I really like, the rest are just there for variety smile.gif

Oh, as for the burning the atrac3 files, I have heard that RealPlayer may be able to burn them, but only if you have sonicstage installed ... I'm not sure if it's true ... I've never tried it and I uninstalled RealPlayer long ago because it $ucked sooooo much rofl.gif

Other than that ... there seems to be no other program that can do it, because Sony doesn't feel like making their software compatible and/or bug free sad.gif I'm done with Sony after this computer fails ... I'm building my own supercomputer, muhahahahahhahhaha rofl.gif

I actually have 1,824 songs. Good luck building youre own computer.thumbsup.gif Oh yes and none of those songs are ripped onto my computer. I have ADSl 1-3 mb. a second. So having fast connection is a plus. biggrin.gif

That's quite a few tongue.gif ... and you like all of them ? ... or are you just trying them out to see if they are any good ?... or is it just that you like a wide range of music ? either way that's cool. I don't think I will ever aquire or listen to that many songs, and I only like on average about 50 % or less of the tracks on any one album that I buy ... that's why I prefer to download and not pay extra for stuff I never listen to biggrin.gif

As for the computer, I will build it this summer ... while doing chemistry research. I should have plenty of time, assuming they dont wear me out by making me do the usual meaningless reports. I get 3 MBs / sec too, most of the time ... actually the SBC ISP servers have gotten more reliable lately ... maybe they bought some new ones ... no more downtime biggrin.gif

... I must be getting off topic so I'll stop ... either way does realplayer work or was what I said just a myth ... like most of the stuff you find if you search on dogpile ... but google didn't turn up anything so I had to wink.gif

I don't like them all i just listen to them to see if i want to buy the album. biggrin.gif From what i've tried it does not seem like it will burn Atrac3, but thanks for the tip. wink.gif
