I like pretty much only rock alternative ... because it's awesome I've tried all sorts of music in the past ... but one day I got so frustrated while listening to a pop radio station that I changed it randomly and it happened to land on "The Buzz" (Rock Alternative) and they were playing "Come Down" by Bush ... it was awesome and it still is ... ahhh here are my favorite bands if you want to know, in order of greatness: (Top 10)

Ahh ... I almost forgot ... why I like it ... I hate "slow" music or "sad" music ... there's enough of that in real life ... I like music that has energy ... music that gives me some of that energy ... I feel that slow sad music drains me of all energy and all hope ... I can't stand it ... of course if you like it that's fine , I don't.

so the uhhh .... who voted for heavy metal (third eye blind is far from heavy metal) and I only like their older albums ... their newer ones are kinda lame ... I guess every band has their time and then they fade away ... except if they are really good.

I voted rock, even though half my music is alt./grudge I still like Classic/southern Rock and some Modern/Hard Rock. I think that the Rock group was alittle too spread apart, every sub genre of rock alway sounds like rock.

You never know, but people start roumors about bands a lot; Some people think Led Zeppelin were satanists because if you played Stairway to Heaven backward it said devil or somehting like that.

I mean both ... as in everything everyone says ... you'd have to have a tape recorder that can play things backwards ... or just record stuff, upload to your computer and invert it using your favorite audio editing program (hopefully nobody takes me too seriously on this ... ... but if you are bored, it sounds entertaining for about 2-4 hours, heck you may even discover that satan is everywhere, backwards )

I really think your taking this a bit serious... I doubt that the bands ment to put it there. Write a song and then try to make it say something backwords that you want it too... Plus you wouldn't notice anything differnt about it without seeing the lyrics first. (With he exclusion of Stairway to Heaven... it is pretty clear, but I don't think they were "devil worshipers", although I did hear Jimmy Page was into that stuff but not with the band, but I guess he DID right the song, but why would he bring that into their music?)

Personally I don't believe the following are for real (or were intended to mean anything backwards):

The Yoko Ono kiss ... (cuz it's in a different language and anyone who says it would be saying the same backwards)
Pokemon Rap (the lyrics just dont match, sorry)

It's actually not that hard to "encode" a secret backwards message in a song ... you just need to vary pitch and the speed with which you say the words ... then you can play it backwards and tweak it until you get it right. Stairway to heaven is probably the most tweaked of them ... I mean it's clear that it was well tweaked. But, just because they say this in a song played backwards does not mean they actually believe it, right ?

Well, yes it doesn't mean they believe in what it says backwards; some of the songs are probally just a conwincidence. I don't think Stairway to Heaven is tweaked though, and the one that Weird Al made "Satan eats cheezwizz" I'm 99% sure he did that. The Britney Spears one was probally tweaked though; i don't think she would put that in her own song. I don't really know about the Queen one I didn't really here it clearly. The Pokemon Rap was probally majorly tweaked with.

Yeah, it would be hard to have that many coincidences in one song... I mean, d@mn, the whole verse.

By "tweaked" I dont mean fake ... they are very real ... all but 2 of them ^^^. Yes I believe Brittney did put that there on purpose And yes ... Led Zeppelin did perform the song in such a way as to make the backwards message understandable ... you can try live versions ... but the message will be less clear.

I'm not saying that people have messed with the songs in order to make them say stuff .... that's not true .... I've tried the original version of Stairway to heaven ... and it is there ... perfectly clear ... it's no hoax.

The bands did the tweaking in their performances to make the messages clear .... that's all I meant.

Yeah, I had to test it with Stairway to Heaven before I believed it was really there... other wise I would have never brought this up.

Yeah, I actually had the time to make Stairway to Heaven play backwards. I was surprised when I herd it personally. They actually could of tweaked Stairway to Heaven when they put it on compattible discs, but i'm not sure just a theory. Thats possible because I was talking to my teacher about it and she said that she played it backwards when she was a kid and she didn't here anything close to the backwards lyrics.(they had record players and vynil records so it was easy for them to play it backwards). That is pretty crazy who would spend all their tme listening to songs backwards looking for hidden lyrics. Yeah, I don't really like it when people do that. It doesn't take that long to explain why you like jazz or the genre you vote on ('not trying to offend the person that didn't post). I would like to here about some good jazz bands, but if they don't don't want to post i guess they really don't have to.(they should make it so you have to post something with youre vote)

I know what you mean I hate any kind of rap or country music. If I had to say which one I like more than the other it would be close , but i think rap music is a little bit better than country. Overall rock and punk music dominate, but rock dominates punk music any day.

I voted Rap/Hiphop i like black eyed peas, eminem, david gray, kelly clarkson ect:and the top 40 music, but i also listen to rock n pop.

i base my affinity not by genre but by the artist or sometimes the song, right now im really into marilyn mansoon i don't know why but i really like his music, and also this rock punk mexican group called genitallica which is so cool, love the lyrics

I chose heavy metal because " death metal" or "black metal" isnt up there, im not satanist, im actually christian its just ive never actually heard a band with the same amazing music as Cradle of Filth or Dimmu Borgir or Napalm Death or Cannibal Corpse or Amon Amarth or Annorexia Nervosa and i could go on, but i dont really have to understand them, its just the feeling of intensity that i love and the "Only dogs can hear em" screams and howls that sound like a racoon with rabies just adds up to the intensity and gets me pumped!

I love heavy metal the most,but I usually like any other music except techno and house music..My preferred band is Iron Maiden..I also like bands like Cradle of filth,Marilyn Manson,Metallica,Dream Theater,Pink Floyd etc..Eminem is one of my favorite artists too,he's a very good singer..

Well, i enjoy all genres of music except COUNTRY and CLASSIC.
