I just bought a new external dvd burner, why doesn't my DVD X Copy work on this new drive?

It currently works on my existing, internal DVD Drive.

My internal DVD burner only burns on +R(RW). My External will burn on both -R, +R, -RW and +RW.

Do I need an UPDATE on the X copy?

Updating the software likely won't help, since 321Studios discontinued support and stopped selling it years ago. So not surprising it won't work with newer hardware. rolleyes.gif

P.S. You may want to consider other DVD backup software. wink.gif

Hey, thanks for your response!!! Since then, I'm using a different software, "DVD 43" that overrides
copy-protection. Some how this DVD Writer ,"HP dvd640" is rejecting my original DVD,telling me that my computer need to be shut down. I can however copy the DVD movie on to my hard drive using my internal DVD but it still won't let me burn on my external DVD, which supports -R. Any suggestions?

I'm wanting to burn my DVDs. This HP dvd640 is not working for me.

Any suggestions for an external DVD writer that will burn on a DVD-R and DVD-RW, which will not conflict with my existing internal DVD drive. Also, a software that will accompany and override copy-write protection.

My existing internal DVD burner will only burn on a DVD+(+RW)
