Please help...I have a new laptop with Windows XP, trying to use Express Scribe software for medical transcription to play WAV files. I keep getting an error message OXCOOD1199. I have tried installing the Microsoft Codecs but still to no avail. The tech support from this software has emailed me once and I am desperate for answers so I can get to work. Please advise me what codec to install so I can get Windows Media Player 9 or 10 to correspond with the Express Scribe software to play WAV files. Thanks.

If you are unable to load a .wav file you might need to install the correct ACM codec. The ACM codecs are installed with Windows, but not all codecs are installed on all computers. Try opening the file with Windows Media Player - sometimes Microsoft installs codecs 'on-demand', which means that they download when Media Player wants them.
