I hope some of you can help me with this issue. I downloaded the anime DearS a few days ago. I checked this morning to see if it worked. I didn't really watch it because I didn't have the time. But when I came home today and tried to open it again, my player (BSplayer) said "Can't open file". So I tried WinDVD, Windows Media Player, Winamp, Quicktime, etc. Nothing worked, all different errors:
"The file number 1 has invalid format"
"Cannot render the file"
and many more errors...
So I deinstalled my codecs and tried Codec Pack All in 1, nothing worked, so I deinstalled and tried K-Lite Codec Pack. Again, nothing but errors.
The file is just a normal .avi file O_o

I hope someone can help me out with this one, I've never had a video file causing so much trouble. o_O

Well could start by reading codec guide:

Also, installing these codec packs is just a recipe for disaster. Assuming the downloaded file is complete/valid, try identifying the codecs it needs with GSPOT.

I ran GSpot and these were my results:

Everything looks positive to me...so what do I do? o_O
