So, if I am getting this right, you re-installed Window$ ? or did you just make a new account ?

Try logging in with your old Admin account name and password ... that is the only real way to get to your files ... or maybe this article will help:

check under free tools. thumbsup.gif

Hi Shaz, i'm X FiLes, try to boot your pc in safe mode? when the pc starts press and hold f8 key, now select safe mode when the windows logon screen comes on login to admin, now when your win desktop comes up use win explorer and open the folder you want and move your things to another folder in your drive, even make a new folder b4 you move the files, i hope this works 4u?

Did you even bother to try the site I gave you ? Plenty of useful tools there ... even boot disks (including linux base)

For example:
Austrumi (v0.9.2 - December 2004)

Austrumi is a Linux bootable ISO image for recovering NT passwords and other cool tools and methods, sized for Business Card size CD media (50Mb). It allows you to change any password, including that of the Administrator, on a partition occupied by Windows NT, Windows 2000 or Windows XP. Simply boot the CD and when you get to the initial boot prompt, type:

boot: nt_pass

This will launch a console utility that will detect Windows partitions on the hard disk and provide you with a menu to modify any user or Administrator passwords on the Windows system. It will even give access to the Windows registry for recovery purposes. Quite a handy utility to keep in your wallet (AUSTRUMI is small enough to fit on a business card-size CD) if you are unfortunate enough to having to deal with Windows machines in your line of work.

yaaaaa finally KNOPPIX WORKED FOR ME......

That is kind of tough ... there are a few options ... the best one would be to upload all your stuff to your e-mail account drafts folder ... just click new e-mail, add an attachment (your stuff, no more than 5 MB or so), and click save. Basically that is the only real reason I got Gmail ... to upload and store all my important stuff. Or you could use a yahoo briefcase (upload time are about 10x that of Gmail sad.gif ... so I quit using it)

Yahoo briefcase ... just make a new account if you don't have one: (30 MB free storage space)
