Can anyone help I'm trying to run an AVI file on WIN media player yet got no sound. how do I activate the codec Xvid to make sound work. I've activated Xvid.exe yet WMP provides no sound?

listen, i think that everthing will work fine if u do the following two thingz:
1. install winxp-codecs (u can download it from anywhere and if u didnt find it, i can send it to u, i think it's 5MB in size).
2. install divx-codecs (u can download it from divx.com).

this was just a suggestion, and i hope everything will be ok.

Yea, that's general advice, maybe ok.
But you must know XVID is the name of the video codec, and if you have XVID decoder, it will play the video only that's all. The audio part is different. If you want to install the codec you really need to play this file, open it with GSpot and you'll know which audio codec to download.
