Well you need WIN2000/XP to use quicktime 7.
Otherwise you can try Quicktime Alternative 1.52 with MPC found here.

P.S. Might be time to upgrade your dated OS since more software developers are dropping support for WIN 95/98

If you don't wanna upgrade Windows you can try Linux, I can play all quicktime movies, except some don't have sound (probably cuz they are badly encoded ?)
