I'm having a problem playing videos on my computer. I recently bought a brand new one and tried a few of the codec packs and none of them seems to work. whats wrong. I hear the sound but the screen remains black. It doesnt give me any error messages either so i dont know whats wrong.

edit: i even used the Gspot thingy and it sait it should be working.

Can't help you without knowing more details. How about posting GSPOT screenshot or something?
Just because GSPOT says they are installed, it doesn't mean they are configured properly with player. wink.gif

Ahh i finally fixed it, after countless hours, i just unchecked video overlay or something and it started showing. This is wierd because i just got his computer and when video did not display from the beginning. I wonder what happened to any other people that bought this computer.

Its even funnier because this computer was called the media edition.
