Hey there everybody. I have this great wireless network connection, through a usb lan thing. Its like ethernet, and then at a host machine, i connect to internet VIA DSL. So im all happy and stuff, until i installed windows 2k3, then i didnt like it, i uninstalled it, installed XP, then i found something wrong with it, i uninstalled, installed windows 2k, after 1 year, i realize i hate it, and that XP is better (and win2k's internet explorer was going nuts, and windows update - oh my, and sound drivers didnt get installed - was too lazy to look inside to check the model) so i uninstalled it, and installed XP again. Now that i like it seen how much other windows' sux, i found that my Wireless usb adaptor gets faulty. Whenever i connect, it occasionally disconnects, and connects, and disconnects... and u see the pattern =)

Anyway, i dont know what to do. The PC that connects to DSL is sitting right next to me, so im just doing some crazy networking, file transfer and stuff, and i dont like this thing, coz i have to start the transfer all over. Anyway, i dont really need suggestions on file transfer, id rather fix the network.. im gonna need it anyway =)

Also, i found out, that whenever i start panda, it does the strangest thing! YOU GUYS WOULDNT BELIEVE IT!!!

It says a Port Scan was performed, and blocks an IP, and when i check, hahah, its the ip of the machine i connect to! LOL (think standard defualt gateway - 192.168.1.1)

Is there a way to shut panda's mouth? Without turning it off/uninstalling it? Coz i really like it. And it was working before, when i didnt uninstalled windows.

Now i turn this panda off, and everything seems stable.

As a matter of fact, my connection just went down 3 times in past what... 10 minutes?

Sounds like you are having lots of fun. And I thought I was indecisive when it came to make choices. laugh.gif

Don't know much about Panda as I use ZA pro. I don't like these all-in-one solutions... as dedicated software/hardware firewalls are better.

Must be way to change protection level so doesn't block your default gateway. I prefer running ZA silently with no intervention and allow pre-configure internet access and logging high alerts only. Sounds like your protection level is set too high and keeps blocking the I.P address and disconnecting you from the network.

Have you checked Panda website if there are any issues or incompatibilities? WINXP Sp2 can be hard beast to tame if there any incompatibilities I'm afraid. wink.gif

I checked their website... there is a whole new version, but i dont really feel like "buying" it =)
