Is it me or does QuickTime Alternative v1.6.8 not give a lot of bass? I listen to a lot music videos in MOV format from http://videos.antville.org/ ... They don't seem to give me the bass when I play MOV files in Media Player Classic v6.4.8.7. sad.gif

Thank you in advance. smile.gif

Thanks. I wasn't aware MS' players could play MOV files. Is there an equalizer in v6.4 and Classic? I hate the bloated 9.0 version.

Yea it's bloated and has a graphical equalizer - an advantage of wmp9 biggrin.gif
I don't know if it was available in MPC (via plugin or sg. else) but check Media Player Classic's project page.

It's weird that playing RealMedia, MPEG, and many other media formats (RealAlternative Player) gives me bass. QuickTime MOV (e.g., http://videos.antville.org/stories/1432103/ and http://videos.antville.org/stories/1431920/ ) gives me no bass at all. I shouldn't have to use the EQ to do this.

I did fill out a bug report to report a possible bug. Is anyone else noticing this or found a solution?

I think I fixed it. It seems like if I set Sound Out to 96 Khz and 24 bit, then no bass and sometimes garbled audio (stop and replay fixes it). I use 44.1 kHz and 16 bit worked better and gives bass. I have an Audigy2 ZS sound card so it can handle the higher quality.
