Check this out, sometimes the screen of this monitor of mine suddenly shakes then goes off, then it appears back fuzzy. But a quick whack on the top of the monitor makes it normal again or by pressing the exit button on it makes it normal again. I tried adjusting the cables behind the monitor and i think that could be the problem. So is there anyway i can fix this myself or should i just bring it to the tv repair shop(seriously ,tv repair shop)

Sounds like your monitor is starting to go. I assume it is a fairly old CRT monitor?
Could be interference due to EMI... or bad cables or a short.

Try different cables, check connection and make sure vid card is seated well.
Otherwise, take it in to TV/electronics repair shop.
