I've been needing to upgrade my hdd for a long time now but can't really decide on the RPM.
Of course the 10k is faster, but how much will the life of the drive be affected, and will a notice a difference in the speed?
Thanks in advance. biggrin.gif

Unless you are doing VERY storage intensive work with truly giant files, you will not notice the difference in speed.

The life ratings of disks of high rpm are still questionable, and are shorter than 5's and 7's.

Put your money into additional memory.
