Hi
I have the Klite codec pack - LATEST version - and also the quick time and the real player codec packs all installed and all my audio/video files play absolutely ok except some wmv files where the audio is being played correctly but no video is appearing - just some vibrating diagonal lines (pls see screenshot below 4 more illustration) i do not why i have this behavious - i copied the wmv files which has this behavious 2 my Dad's PC and i can play them normally without any problem so the files 4 sure r not corrupted. ANY ideas ?
P.S.
I use Windows XP SP2 + Media Player Classic 6.4.9.0 for video
Any ideas would be so much apreciated. THX in advance

p.s. The windows media player is ditched from my XP coz i never liked it but i am sure that i have re-installed all the missing codecs which resulted from this uninstllation by using the program called "WindowsMediaLite210.exe" and as a proof that i have no problem in codecs, i can play some wmv files with no problem at all so i do not know why some others r not playing. Also i am sure that the troublesome wmv files are NOT DRM protected

What you probably have is a video sync problem, which originates from files done in foreign frame reference and sync format. You will need MPEG 2 fraunhoffer codecs and Dvobsub - Textsub tools. The best pack is an older pack called ACE mega codecs pack.
There are several oddball codec types in that pack. I usually install the DV codecs (about 10) and the dvob sub and text sub which usually takes care of most issues. DO not install the dump pos filter. Also install the Fraunhoffer MPEG2 video and audio codecs.
