Hi everybody,

I'm new here and I need some help.

I downloaded XP Codec Pack 1.0.4 to watch some concerts. Some of them are "inverted" vertically and horizontally. Like watching it upside down in a mirror. I´m using Media Player Classic to watch the videos, because I don´t know how to link Windows Media Player with my codecs. I read here another topic about it, but I´m confused because I´ve done what the moderator said, but some videos are still inverted.

Any idea of what I should do?

Thanks

Waiting for the 'light'....

Hi Anderson smile.gif

Some more details would be useful about these videos. Right-click (in Media Player Classic) the video playback window, select Properties and then Details tab. You can see the video format here.

This "upside-down" problem mostly occurs when the video is XviD.
The XP Codec Pack uses FFDShow for video decoding by default.
When XviD, possible solutions:

Install XviD Codec (version 1.0.3 or 1.1beta).

Then in FFDShow Configs -> Codecs tab set XviD Format to "XviD 1".
Still inverted? Try the Output -> "Flip Video" option.

Or use only the original XviD Decoder when playing. Disable FFDShow for XviD (in FFDShow Configs -> Codecs tab set /XviD Format to disabled).

You can verify what video decoders are used by Media Player Classic when playing a video by right-clicking the playback window, and then "Filters" menu option.
