Is it just me, or is there some kind of problem with ACTUALLY DOWNLOADING from free-codecs.com today?
I am specifically trying to grab the Quicktime Alternative package. A search for "Quicktime Alternative" pulls up a list of four packages, one of which actually is Quicktime Alternative. I click on that link and get to an informational page about the software, containing a link consisting of the single word, "Download." I click that link and am taken to a page containing what claim to be links to primary and mirror downloads. Clicking any of the alleged links, takes me back to the free-codecs.com home page where I started. WTF?
Just in case this was a problem with Quicktime Alternative in particular, I chose a different item at random from the list on the home page... but had the exact same experience.
Oh -- and reading the "How to Download" fine print at the bottom of the Download page, makes no difference whatsoever -- right-clicking the links and saving what they point to, attempts to save a file named free-codecs.html -- i.e. a copy of the home page HTML itself -- which is not helpful!
Suggestions? Alternate sources? Anybody got the package and can just SEND it DIRECTLY TO ME?
Thanks in advance,
Xet
