Hello guys.
My pc stops fuctioning(even ctrl+alt+del do not work) when i try to play certain videos. What might be the problem? The computer may stop fuctioning at any random time while a video is playing.I fomratted my pc twice the last 5 days and i have no idea of what else to do.
The same videos play on some friends pc so i do not think the videos are damaged. Thx

Did you run it with the same software as on your friends computer?
And what software was it? (Or did you try more then one).
It could be that you have corrupted codecs installed (if you have any). I had the same problem with an old release of 'ffdshow'.

I tried it with different softwares such as wmp, realplayer, VLC, Bsp player and all of them make the same problem. These are the same programs my friends are playing the videos.I have installed K-lite codec pack but since the problem first appeared i tried different codec packs such as nimo and tsunami. All of them caused me with the same problem.I also installed sherlock (code detective) do see if there are any corrupted codecs on the pc and when i have k-lite installed it shows that all codec are fine.
Please if you have any suggestions help me.Thx

Perhaps your PC suffers from overheating?
Try updating your graphics card drivers.

Thx for your reply I tried that also but because my laptop is relatively new (6 months) there are no updates on the web for my graphics card. Afcourse there is a chance i'm doing something wrong because i do not know much about computers.
Does anyone else has the toshiba satellite series A105-S4004 and if yes please tell me if you had any similar problems as i have. Thx in advance
