Full Version: myst 3: bink codec problem

I have played once the myst 3 in my early low/slow pc and as you know it is just jpeg images and bink videos. There is no problem despite of i haven't got much ram and powerfull cpu.


Than i buy (intel 2.8 mhz with 256 mb ram) good pc.(early one is 350 mhz 64 ram) and the problem occured. The video is not playing normally. i don't know how to explain. it is not slow no it's not. it plays the frames but it was a two step forward 1 step back play. do you know what i mean. it was something like shaking but the thing is two step forward one step back. i cant solve the problem sometimes it plays good sometimes not. i can' t find the problem help me i beg you...

Im having the same problem with the bink video in other games too! Its the bink codecs fault i found out, theres nothing you can do, its just bink is crap and we have to live with that lol

There is a new version out: Bink 1.8b, maybe you should try it.
