I love this browser!
As Lockergnome said: "I’ve used IE, Netscape, Opera, Firefox, and Deepnet Explorer. Deepnet Explorer is the best I’ve found."

Not only is Deepnet Explorer the world’s first browser with RSS news reader and P2P client integration, it is also the first browser to foil phishers! With its superior security, functionality and usability, Deepnet Explorer can dramatically improve your web experience.

WOW, much better than IE, and so many more features ! I'm never using IE again. The one thing that bothers me most about IE is the annoying Auto-Complete prompt that I cannot get rid of in any way possible. Not only does this browser not have that, but it has tons of features ! Phishing alarm, Floating pop-up killer, content filter, cookie filter, tabbed browsing, P2P, RSS, etc.

Very nice find euromix ! biggrin.gif
euromix
Yep, this browser is amazing! I'm glad you like it H_TeXMeX_H buba.gif

Tabbed browsing and RSS reader are my fav features biggrin.gif
chp
Yeah I'm watching the forum through Deepnet Explorer right now,
...looks similar biggrin.gif
And i just can say the same things about its features. GREAT!!! thumbsup.gif

Always hesitant to try new browsers with little track record. Are you sure this browser doesn't use same core as I.E.?

Likely stick with Mozilla Firefox for now, but nice to see there are alternatives. wink.gif

Yes, Deepnet is built on the same platform as IE (for a while). Here is an old (Nov 22) cnet review dry.gif

Looks Good, Thanks tongue.gif
chp
Well... obviously based on IE.
Deepnet is an enhanced IE as i see, with additional features.
More security with Phishing alarm, Pop-up killer, content filter, cookie filter but... less when p2p is enabled... that can be a hacking option as well...
So this is an alternative browser, absolutely IE compatible, substitues IE great... just need to learn how to use it the smart way.

I use Netscape 7.2... It is possible to say IE6 is not the good browser smile.gif Can you tell me where can I get this browser to try...

I have only one complain: i still can't integrate my RoboForm... but i don't give up! It must be a solution biggrin.gif
tsagara
I installed this browser... That's really nice, I like it... Multitab interface amazed me I removed Netscape smile.gif)) Let's see, wahat Microsoft suggest at this time rofl.gif
tsagara
Hey men,

This Deepnet Explorer f**** me wuth errors of AciveX and now I got FireFox... It seems works better than DE wink.gif

Let's see, time will show whats better smile.gif

Please refrain from using colorful language and obscenities!
euromix
tsagara, please read carefully my posts, i've never said: this is the best browser, you should use it! All i said is: Try it to convince yourself.

I'm glad if Firefox is better for you, but don't come here and swear Deepnet. As the title of topic says, this is just an alternative, not a real alternative 'cause Deepnet is built on the same platform as IE , but we need alternatives.

I'm not the biggest fan of IE and i don't like Firefox too much, maybe because i don't like Firefox hysteria and all that army of zombies... biggrin.gif so i/we need to try (bad, good or maybe better some day...) alternatives.
You like Deepnet? keep it! you don't like it? replace it with something else! Things are easy as long as you have alternatives wink.gif
tsagara
Yes, I know there's a lot of choices smile.gif I just wanna say that DE has botof of sides , negative and positive... That's it smile.gif

Sorry for dirty language... :heh:

Yeah, the Active X blocker is the reason i like Firefox so much... Just think, go a looooooong time without seeing those evil IE toolbars that tell you to buy their stuff, and all the adware... blah
O yea and Firefox makes frames better too, the default iframe background is clear. Look at my site with Firefox, then look at it with IE... www.suckdl.net

I knew about this one some time ago about this one but I never tried it. But it's time to do it now since you give it such good recommendations.

In my opinion a P2P function is useless in a browser. rolleyes.gif

I agree that browsers are a personal preference - the user should utilize what they like. Firefox is my current browser but would like to have at least one alternative handy, if needed. FF has some nice security features as well as some vulnerablilities. As FF grows in popularity, cyber-scumbags will undoubtly attempt to exploit weaknesses in this browser. The speedy response by the Moz team does provide a degree of comfort.
As with all other security-related software, it is the user's responsibility to check for & install updated versions in a timely manner.

I still plan to test Deepnet Explorer to form my own opinion & with the tight security settings used on IE. I also plan to test K-Meleon (sort of a Mozilla Lite).

The truly security-conscious should take a look at the Paris Hilton Browser by Solarbabies, Inc.

I didn't notice your post... In fact you can do it, with nLite

Have you ever wanted to remove some Windows components like Media Player, Internet Explorer, Outlook Express, MSN Explorer, Messenger...

All this talk of Deepnet Explorer makes me remember my last heavily used browser. MYIE that renamed itself to Mathon Browser.

I currently use Firefox, but I loved Mathon when I used it. I'm tempted to get it going on my home computer again.

It seems to have most of the features of Deepnet Explorer with out the p2p.

Here's another one to add to the list of alternatives for IE. It is based on IE, but I have to say that it implemented some of the safety features that IE has on XP after SP2 before SP2 was issued. thumbsup.gif

Here's the link.
