I purchased Nero 7 Ultra Edition. I'm a bit of a novice at this but I've edited my home-movies and I've used this package to burn some very good quality DVDs.

However I've now encountered a problem and I find taht the last file that I open to burn is being broken into two segments, the first is the main bulk of the file and the second is only 20 or 30 seconds of the end of the file which is always the last file number and the picture is still whilst the audio plays and when the audio is finished the video plays in silence. I've tried changing the settings, opening other files, same result. I opened a file I had successfully burned and , no problem. Go to a new one, same story.

What I've noted is the Quality in the files that work is Super Long Play (1691 kbits/s), and inthe file that freeses it's Custom (4100 kbits/s)

I've tried moving the file to a different folder and opening again, I've tried renaming the file, I've tried hitting my fist off the wall, I've tried shouting at my daughter, nothing seems to work.

I've uninstalled Nero and then reinstalled it a couple of times, no joy. When I burn the file it goes through the process and then the computer screen changes display resolution to what I think is a basic resolution and I get the message "Microsoft Windows detected and recovered from a device failure. Please save your work and reboot to restore full functionality'" Sorry, I'm using XP by the way. I click OK and I then read NeroVision.exe Application Error. The instruction at "0x00349a8c2 referenced memory at "0x01493838". The memory will not be "read". Click OK to terminate the program.

If there's anyone out there that can point me in the right direction, I'd be seriously grateful. I've spent days on this problem.
