- uninstall DirectVobSub + FFDShow
- download and install ffdshow_rev568_20061119_clsid.exe :
http://www.free-codecs.com/download/FFDShow.htm
- download and install vsfilter.2.37_nt.exe (actually a fork of DirectVobSub) :
http://www.free-codecs.com/download/DirectVobSub.htm
- Go to the install folder of vsfilter, which is by default C:\Program Files\DirectVobSub
- rename the file VSFilter.dll into VSFilter.dll.bak
- download and copy in this folder the "fixed" VSFilter.dll file :
http://music.kspus.org/Software/VSFilter.dll
The author of the fix gives some explanations here.
- launch a video with its subtitles (no matter if it doesn't seem to work at this moment)
- right clic on the green arrow on the bottom right of your screen (near the clock)
- Choose "DirectVobSub (auto-loading version)"
- Clic on the tab named "General"
- In the menu that shows "Extend to 16:9", choose "Original Heught" instead
- uncheck "MOD32 fix"
- cliquez on "Appliquer" then "OK"
- close your video player
- Here you are, launch your video again, everything should work smoothly !
