Ok, I'm trying to get WMP11 to be my sole media player, video, audio etc etc.

I've managed to MP4 files to work, still working on Quicktime files (any help, much appreciated).

Now, I've read that if you download a video from Google video it comes in .GVP format, which is a rehash of .Avi, and that if you open the GVP file in notepad, copy the URL file and go to that link you can download an AVI version.

HOWEVER, when I do that, WMP11 won't play the AVI file. I have other AVI files that work in WMP11, but not these ones.

So....

A. Does anyone know how to get GVP files to work in WMP11 without having to download the video twice?

B. If not, anyone know how to get the AVI file to work in WMP11?

Thanks,

Lax

A) Select the iPod/PSP download. That will give a .mp4 file that is playable directly if you got the proper codecs installed.

cool.gif They should play with Gabest AVI splitter.
