I don't have WMP installed, so I can't help you with that.
That tool is only for checked for MPEG2 decoders. Not for anything else. Your games don't use MPEG2.
It could be that DirectShow is partly broken. This might fix it:
Start -> Run -> regsvr32 quartz.dll
Thx for reply pal but I had already registered base of Direct Show Filters ( quartz.dll, qdvd.dll, qcap.dll, qedit.dll ) through K-Lite "
Codec Tweak Tool" and also did it through run command but both didn't work.
Yesterday night I got successful in playing video through " Windows Media Player 11" & "CrystalPlayer", by just unchecking the "
Overlays" video rendering option, that means Overlays option is selected by media players as default and which is causing the problem.
So, I have two things to ask ;
1) Is there any way I can repair Overlays option to work flawlessly as it used to work before ?
( because it looks like this option is selected by default by all players, since "DivX Player" lacks such a option to disable it therefore I can't get video working in it. Please check that in your pc is it selected by default ? )
2) And can "Overlays" option be permanently disable for all players ?
Below is the screenshot showing Overlays option in Windows Media Player, which is the only option I disabled and kept all the settings as their default, and got the video immediately working in it.
And friend please try running that "Decoder Checkup Utility" in your system and tell me whether does it show any decoder available in your pc to decode MPEG-2 files.
Thx for all your help and your precious time.
