when i download and the file is too big to do in 1 day i come off internet and go back on i have to start all over again how can i continue from where i left off

Note: Some sites do not support resuming a download, for those sites I know of no program that can help, but for sites that so support resume, (have new good servers), this program does work, and it is FREE !!!

Just use a download manager... dozens out there that support multi-part downloading and resuming. Most web servers support resuming.

Flashget, Reget Deluxe, NetPumper, GetRight are several off the top of my head. Do a search with google and you find many programs you can test out.
