QUESTION: I tried to get the updater from the site named FileHippo--it would be the FileHippo Updater. I had to settle for the Secunia Updater. Or whatever they name the application for updating: fine but I wanted the FileHippo Uppdater.
Now here is the thing: I could not get the download from FileHippo Updater to work. It says it was broken, but others are getting in and downloaoding it. And others are also reporting, some of them, they cannot get that download.
WHAT IS THE WAY TO GET THE FILEHIPPO UPDATER TO DOWNLOAD? ADVISE.

Talking about FileHippo Update Checker found here?

No problem downloading the small file. Perhaps your antivirus or browser is blocking the "EXE" file?
Tested with I.E. 7 and Opera 9.0.
Don't forget Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 is required to run the application. huh.gif

Thanks Mischcabob;
I found that FileHippo Update Checker had deposited itself in my files. When I clicked on "open" it began to work, by golly. I have been pestering the poor dear thing for weeks, and now! poof! off it runs. And still i have to go to files, it has no logos in my programs where i have everything listed. If I did not KNOW it was there, ready and able, i would never think of it. Weird. Maybe one day i can get it to deposit its logos on my desktop or in my programs?
