how can i convert npl video clips?

i have some video clips i took with a motorola L6 mobile phone. i transferred them to cd-rom and pc and no longer have them on phone. windows explorer shows the file type as a nokia multimedia playlist file with an .npl extension.

i know that all the data is on the disc - and not just a playlist - because the clips open automatically in nokia multimedia player, and i can watch the full clip.

nokia multimedia player shows the files as having an .3gp extension. but neither AVS video converter nor nokia multimedia converter can read the files. the files seem to be in npl format not 3gp.

is there a way to convert these npl files to another format?
