Hi,
I have installed the K-Lite codec pack and tried to play my MOV movies from my Panasonic DMC-FZ50 camera. The MOVs are encoded with Photo JPEG codec (according to GSpot, FOURCC is JPEG), and I am unable to playback them. Before installing K-Lite I used to play these files with QT Alternative without any problems. Any ideas to solve this issue?

Hi again,
because I needed urgently the MOV support I have reinstalled QT Alternative and the problem is solved. I was afraid that the two program will be confused, but everything was fine. I am just wondering if there is some more elegant solution for this (originally I have uninstalled QT Alternative because K-Lite played the MOVs from my old Kodak camera without any problems - they have probably other FOURCC).

K-Lite can play most .mov files without the need for QTA. However some of the more obscure files (like those from phones and cameras) require the QuickTime components for proper playback. That is no problem because both packs can work together perfectly fine.
