I am confused about what I need to do to play Mpeg4 files. They do not play in Windows Media Player 11, even though I have downloaded ffdshow and can play FLV files. Is it possible to play them in WMP or do I need another player?

LOts of variations of MPEG4 decoders including Apple's version. Try using FFDShow (contains MPEG-4 Video Decoder) or just use Apple Quicktime player instead of WMP. LIke prev. poster said... can MPC but still require FFDshow.

I got a Networked Media Tank (popcornhour) When I play my Mpeg-4 files from popcorhour to pc, popcornhour defaults to wmp11. Is there a way to have popcornhour use classic instead of wmp11? Maybe something to do with plugins? When I disabled wmp11 plugin popcornhour came up with blank page instead of the wmp11 screen, so I know it has something to do with plugins.
