Good Evening,

Up until this week, I have been recording Formula One motor races onto my PC's HDD using a Leadtek WinFast TV 2000 XP Expert tuner card.

I then edit the captured video using TMPGEnc DVD Author v1.5 to remove all the adverts and any unnecessary image material prior to and following the race.

I then use DVD Shrink 3.2 to compress and burn (via Nero) the video to a blank DVD.

This last weekend, SkyTV here in New Zealand switched to wide-screen tv.

Previously, I have used the 720 x 576 PAL capture format for recording and burning onto DVD, but now, any wide-screen film is horribly squashed.

I assume that I now need to adjust my capture format profile to reflect the 16:9 aspect.

Can anyone advise what capture size I should be using and how to I go about make the necessary changes?

Thanks in advance.......

I have received a reply from another forum which I thought I would share it with you just in case anyone else is experiencing the same issues smile.gif

Just use DVD Patcher and "patch" 4:3 to 16:9 on your original mpeg 2 file

Then load to TMPGenc author, and so on as always smile.gif
