I am running AMBIOS v 3.31A. Have been attempting to instal a SATA Seagate 160GB HDD as a boot disk without success. Now when I boot up, the screen gives me a choice of operating system, either Windows XP, or Windows XP setup. It is necessary to quickly highlight the Windows XP choice, or else it goes into windows setup. There is no setupdisk in the CD drive. Can anyone help?

Did you configure the bio to bootup with the SATA drive and let OS finish the install? Not sure if want dual OS boot or not?
Normally don't need drivers so should have installed on one drive/partition.

Thanks - just worked out the dual OS problem by editing boot.ini - now ok. However the BIOS , AMBIOS V 3.31a doesn't give an option to boot via SATA. Using a SATA controller driver VIA VT 6421. Mainboard details below. Do I need to upgrade BIOS ?

Hi i have a new system which i am trying to get up & running with no great success.When i boot into my system the first boot page is fine but on the second one it stops with a cursor under the last bank of memory & justs blinks at me can anyone shed any light or give any advice please.

Did you consult the mobo manual? Could be bad stick or not using the right slots (1,2 only) for dual channel configuration.
Check the bios to see everything is detected and configured properly.
