Hey!

I'm pretty sure this is a codec problem. I've got video files, and most of them are tv rips. The icons used to be like a single shot of the episode, looking somewhat like this...

But now they just look like this

The first one is from my video folder, it's just the videos that come with the computer. I know this can be done with the files from the second picture but I'm not quite sure how. I've installed the K-lite Codec pack but it doesn't help.

Can anyone help? I would really appreciate it.

That is the icon of VLC Player. That must have broken the thumbnailing.

This should fix it:
CODE
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.wmv\ShellEx]

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.wmv\ShellEx\{BB2E617C-0920-11d1-9A0B-00C04FC2D6C1}]
@="{c5a40261-cd64-4ccf-84cb-c394da41d590}"

Thanks for replying!

I'm not really that great with computers can you tell me where I'm supposed to put that code?

Oh and it's not just VLC whenever I use another program to open the files that icon for that particular program replaces the VLC cones.
