Hey yall...

Im use to messing with codecs, but im stock, blank, dont know what the f*** to do.

I have a Acer Aspire Revo R3600 with a ION system.
The problem is ofcause HD movies, 720p, 1080p, with and without DTS.
Lagging, picture out of sound sync ect ect.

I figure that it has to run with some hardware accelerator when its on ION? Correct?

I have tryed to install K-Lite Codec Pack 5.0.5 Full, using AC3Filter for downmix to Sterio and FFDshow for video.

My question is, what audio codec, and video codec should i use, and with what settings for the best playback?

Your computer is not fast enough to play HD video with ffdshow. You must use hardware acceleration (DXVA). Media Player Classic Homecinema contains a DXVA capable decoder for H.264. You can find tips in the K-Lite FAQ to get DXVA working if you have trouble. Otherwise visit their forum for more help.
