When I run Codec Detective (Sherlok), it reports the Sony VIAO codec sonydv.dll is broken and reports a corrupted path string for sonydv.dll.
However, sonydv.dll exists in C:\Windows\System32 and also in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Sony Shared\Video Lib.
I do not have a clue as to how to fix this.
Codec Detective reports the path for the sonydv.dll driver as:
"C:\Windows\System32\C:\Program Files\Common Files\Sony Shared\Video Lib" which is obviously corrupted.
I have searched the registry for sonydv.dll and all the search hits show the path correctly as:
"C:\Program Files\Common Files\Sony Shared\Video Lib."
Help!
