Full Version: how do i get movie mkv files to play audio

im having trouble with my some of my mkv movie files, it will play the video fine, but theres no audio, i looked on gspot about it and it gave me this

Partial Render Failure: Following is the error report of DirectShow
0x00040242: [unknown]
[Src]-->>--[A]-->[DivX H. 246 Decoder]>--[B]-->[Video Renderer]

i dont know what i should do, if anyone can help thatd be awesome, it doesnt do this with any of my other files, its just this one for some reason.

Had that problem here with h264 or x264 files under the mkv wrapper. The basic mkv files will play, but the complex ones will not. I either have stepped playback of video - kind of like a photoshow, or no audio.
Afterthought, which player are you using.

Uninstall the DivX pack and install the K-Lite Codec Pack. Then it will work.
