When I download a dvd file I noticed that the file will not even open. It comes up with a message : Media type 0. It also says media player classic could not render some of the pins in the graph, you may not have the needed codec or filters installed on the system. It does not give any instructions on what codec we need. We just cannot open the file to do anything Does anyone have an idea what to do about this. Your solution would be appreciated.

Copy/paste the full contents of the error message from MPC here. We should be able to deduce which codec you are missing from that information.
