Hello,
I'm new here but I always find this forum very helpful as I find some good answers to my software's problems. But now I would like to ask everyone here if tried new version of tunebite. I saw on their site that a new version was released and it said that this one can record movies from hulu and other streaming sites like hulu. I was wondering if u know smth about this or even better, have u already tried this version? I would like to get it as still its features seems to be very helpful but I dunno very much about it.
Thanks in advance....

I suggest you read more on their
website. I used it years ago to remove copy protection (DRM) off
music I purchased. However, many estores have turned to fairplay and removed limitations completely so have no need for this software.
Seems like they are focusing on converting formats for more formats... so definately walk a fine line when it comes to copyright issues.
I prefer to capture media streams and use an external 3rd party to convert them.
Good luck!

Well, thanks for ur suggestion, but as I said I read on their site about this new version, but though I needed some feedbacks, smth. However, got the freeware version but it can't record only 1 min from a movie, as it's limited. But, honestly, I was pretty impressed of this 1 min recording as it has a good quality. This free version has only the conversion and downloading music features for free, the others are some demo additionally.

Still, thumbs up for tunebite so far

Hi there, I'm an older user of tunebite and I also got this new version.... It's a good soft, it records movies from streaming movies online sites, even records rtmpe files, which must be captured, not downloaded. It's very useful this soft as it records files (movies or music) and automatically converts the files into the formats u need.
I always liked it as I use it for a long time and this new version is really cool, u don't have to worry about music and movies when u have tunebite..

Thank you a lot, I've bought it and so far works good, I really like the fact that it can records my fav series, South Park, I have already some of those episodes on dvds and I'm very happy that I'll have all the collection. Also, the fact that it has the ID3 tags makes my job very easy.

Well, I'm glad you're happy u've got it, as I saw on their website that there are some of its users which aren't so pleased by its features or they say it doesn't work. However for me worked well from the very beginning, of course it depends a lot on ur machine, cause as it has some requirements which not all the pcs have...

) Anyway, if u have any question, go ahead...

hi, I have a question though, I tried to download a movie from hulu but it seems it can't do that, even on its site says it can do. there are encrypted files and it says I have to do it by screen capturing but still it doesn't capture anything. Am I doing smth wrong?

Dunno, did you follow the required steps for capturing? You need to adjust the image u want to record, you can do that by dragging the symbol shown in that box or by clicking + or -. That's quite easy, all u have to do is the follow the steps from the boxes and you're done.

Hope this helps you

Stupid me, this soft isn't for me,

Thank you, you're right, didn't follow correctly those steps, didn't adjust the image. In the beginning I saw that smth it's recording but when I stopped and played there was nothing recorded. duhh!!!
Now works well, I had to be much more attentive.

Hello again,
Can you please tell me if you ever downloaded HD movies? And if so, what format did u configure for the output files?
Thanks again

Hmmm, dunno exactly if I've ever downloaded HD movies, but I tried with some HD videos from youtube. And worked. I configured the usual formats for videos, both avi and wmv and didn't have any problem. So, I'm guessing it works with HD movies too.
Very interesting, as I never took into consideration this fact or if I ever downloaded HD files, but now when you asked me that, I tried and was very carefully with this aspect.
