So you cannot open it at all... but sure it's an avi.
You can change or write the 4CC code with
AVI FourCC Changer but if not succeeded, there are other AVI editing/fixing tools in the free-codecs.com's
Tools section. I'm not sure which can handle your file. Try some of those. I hope you'll be able to write that infomation and manage to solve this problem.
